With New Belgium’s winning combination of High Involvement Culture and employee ownership, coworkers in all departments of the brewery are continuously dreaming up thoughtful ideas and proposals regarding improvements to our facilities and operations. We have developed a project management process that we call Bright Ideas to analyze & prioritize these continuous improvement projects. Bright Ideas brings together a cross-departmental and cross-functional team to review the proposals, providing an ideal mixture of perspectives. The criteria used to analyze proposals include such key considerations as strategic value, financial value, complexity, natural resource usage, and resource impact.
In this manner, Bright Ideas brings structure to New Belgium’s internal decision-making process to link proposal selection back to our core values and beliefs and strategic plan.
