A couple weeks from now, all of us at New Belgium will be taking part in one of the greatest things about working here: our annual company retreat. Over the course of a week, we will all converge for a family reunion involving strategic planning and educational sessions, volleyball tournaments and good food, ownership ceremonies amongst the best co-workers on Earth, and - of course - plenty of great beer. So, this time of year always has us feeling pretty reflective and inspired.
Our Director of Sustainability & Strategy, Jenn Vervier, recently got a chance to do some reflecting & inspiring of her own in an interview with the Outdoor Industry Association, and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share it with you all. Jenn's been at New Belgium since the early days of the company, and has held a wide array of roles within the organization, from hand-bottling beer on the original packaging line, to serving as our Chief Financial Officer. As Director of Sustainability and Strategy, she helps ensure our company purpose statement of proving that business can be a force for good is manifested throughout the business, our actions, and our words.
Leading up to her keynote at the Outdoor Industry Association’s Sustainability Insights Conference in Salt Lake on August 4th, she did an interview with OIA to talk about our roots, share some thoughts & advice on responsible business, and make us all thirsty for a Slow Ride Session IPA. Check out her interview here.
