I want to trade my car for a bike in Chicago! by Vic

Zach and NB comrades,

Don't let the raised hood fool you- the putt still runs. This car was purchased brand new by my mom in 1972. There was an energy crisis back then too. Remember when you could only fill up your tank on certain days, and petrol stations ran dry? The Putt was there!Read more

I want to trade my car for a bike in Chicago! by Steven

Dear New Belgians:

I write you today to describe the tattered relationship I share with my 1995 Dodge Avenger, a vehicle I wish to trade for your most excellent bicycle. My vehicle and I have grown apart and your offer of a bike in exchange for it is the trigger I've been seeking to leave her.Read more

Happy Bike to Work Day!

Happy Bike to Work Day (and week).  Those of us who are lucky enough to commute through natural areas, beside streams, or past lakes enjoy seeing little glimpses of nature.  Today I saw my fair share of little wonders: barn swallows swooping over fence lines, a red-tailed hawk soaring right over the open space by the railroad tracks.  I enjoy all these sights, but that's not the high point.  No, folks, I bet you'd be really surprised if I told you that every day, on my commute, I ride past Uranus.Read more

It's Friday, and man does that feel good.

So here we are at Friday... I thought it would never get here.  I was with the carnie crew in Denver a few days this week and that was some back and forth driving, not to mention that polo didn't go that well this week.  I have no explanation, I just played poorly and it made my week feel longer.  But jeepers folks, it almost over, and that means weekend shenanaginsRead more

Where does the time go?

Well hello everybody... I know I promised to write sooner, but I have been real busy (like capitol B, Busy).  The carnies have been down in Denver setting up the stage in a giant warehouse to make sure everything still works and the art looks good and lots of other reasons as well, so please forgive me.   I wanted to just check in and say hello... I also wanted to show you where you can look to see the Juicebox Family Photo Album, click here.   Aren't we a good looking bunch?Read more

Lets get back together.

I know it has been a while since my last post, I'm sorry.  But in my defense things are really getting busy in regards to the upcoming Tour de Fat season.  And speaking of Tour de Fat, let me be the first to welcome the newest member to the carnie crew (Carnies Local); Coleman!  Coleman joins us from a long and storied career at the local Brave New Wheel bicycle shop.  He is starting today and our arms are wide open with welcome-ness.Read more

with disdain he says "blog about that!"

So in these cold and rainy days of summer in Fort Collins people need to find things to keep them busy during their breaks at work.  Here at the Beer Factory we play Foosball.  Normally I take to the view-bleachers for such contests, but lately I have been hankering for some good, old fashioned competition, I wanted to take to the pitch (I think that's what they call a Foosball table in England, but I am not sure (I 'm just trying to sound smart (and worldly)).Read more

Monday...

Well yesterday was great.  It was filled with meetings and costume making.  First the Costumes: we carnies are on a major tear in the costume world.  Making ours, other folks, just bunches of costumes.  Someone is going to get the great pleasure of wearing the sun.  Here is Todd holding it up for the world to see;

That totally looks like the sun, all bright and shiny and in front of Todd.  Totally awesome.Read more
