Get stoked! This post will be a full combination.

I rarely use the word "stoked" in any of its forms; stoke, stoked, totally stoked, hella stoked, etc...  But the title of this post required it.  It is similar to my dislike for the word "epic" in everyday speech.  Words like that (epic, stoked) should be reserved for truly meaningful bits of phrase turning.  Like you shouldn't refer to a pair of pants as epic.  In no way are your pants epic, your pants can be nice, or comfortable, or possibly ill fitting, but not epic (on second thought, maybe one's pants could be epicly ill-fitting).  The same goes Read more

LET'S GO TO THE CAN LINE!

You read right my friends, today we are heading over to the can line.  And what a beautiful place to be.  If you are like me (which may or may not be the case), you love to drink beer from a can.  You love to drink beer from a can for a multitude of reasons; 1: It is totally awesome, 2: Aluminum is a closed loop recycler with many easily accessible rubbish bins for collection, 3: Way more packable (on those out of doors type trips) than glass.  And the list goes on and on.  So here today we are going to take a look at where we here (at New Belgium HQ) fill those lovRead more

Here we go again.

Hello my friends!  It is Wednesday morning and here at HQ we are busy hammering away at all things Beer related.  So far today I have restocked all the beer that the Liquid Center is going to need for the day, I have gone to taste panel (it's a tough job, but by golly, someone has to do it (and it may as well be me)), and now it's almost lunch.Read more

Let's go to the carnie shop.

OK folks, it's time for another installment of "Let's go to the..."  And where are we going today (you may ask)?  Well, we're going to the carnie shop.  This is an awesome stop for you because regardless if you can make it to the Brewery for a tour, there is no way a (sensible) tour guide (like myself) would take you back there.  It's pretty far off the tour route, not to mentioned laced with thousands of potential safety threats (like sparks, lots and lots of sparks).  The carnie shop is also the place I called home for the first Read more

And the light was just right.

So the other day I was walking into our wood cellar to hang out near theLa Folie when I saw some sun leaking in through the mini window on the garage door.  The light was splashing onto the foudres in the most beautiful way.  As the light hit a small piece of the white oak barrel it went brighter than the sun and left spots in my eyes, but I couldn't look away.Read more

Lets go to the Thunderdome...

Have you ever been sitting at your house with nothing to do on a Saturday and you think to yourself "Man, I wish I could head over to New Belgium HQ and take the tour", but alas, you live thousands of miles away and work for a living, not to mention you don't have any good vacation time coming up.  Well friends I have a treat for you, the new and (super) exciting series- "Let's go to the..."  And today's installment, the Thunderdome.  The Thunderdome is our name for the bottleing hall (it's called the Thunderdome because the folks that work over there wereRead more

That smelly groundhog doesn't know anything.

So you must have heard the news by now.  February 2 came, then went, and "Mr." Punxsutawny Phil (if that is his real name) said six more weeks of winter.  I am calling shenanigans on that news, he is not a meteorologist, he is a groundhog.  And I'm pretty sure they don't let groundhogs into meteorology school, he can't even talk, not to mention read, or take notes, or anything that is required to even marginally succeed at that level of learning.  And on top of all that...Read more

The time has come.

Well, the time has arrived friends, and it has arrived with gusto.  Let me be the first (or possibly the second) to direct you to the new Rangerland.  It is from here that you can meet the new Ranger IPA, see who your local New Belgium Beer Ranger is, or even get into (your very own) Ranger uniform.  Then (after your exploring Rangerland has finished, and your parched and in need of thirst quenching) go to the "I Want Some" clickable ICON and there you can find where to buy the hRead more
