Brewing beer is one of the great forums where art and science live happily as one. When a brewer envisions a flavor, he or she has to translate that from the mind to the kettle to your palate. Much like a painter mixing colors on a canvas, the brewer brings a variety of ingredients together to breathe life into their vision.

The science comes into play because beer is a consumable work of art. It needs to be consistent and free of errors or off-flavors.
