We’ve been working with Asheville On Bikes since 2010 through Clips of Faith. AOB is a non-profit advocacy organization advancing bicycle culture in Asheville, NC. Their work, along with other strong organizations and advocates, and public and private partnerships (like ours!) is steadily making cycling in Asheville safer and more available.
On February 22, AOB is hosting one of their largest fundraisers of the year, Bike Love (and we're a proud sponsor). There’s music -Jamar Woods & the Broken Spokes and DJ Marley Carroll -
and fun, but also dynamic, quick information sessions to learn about how and why it’s important to support bicycle culture in our community. Presenters with have 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide to tell you about their great work.
Aaaaaand, if you buy your Bike Love ticket in advance, you can become a brand spanking new AOB member for the discounted membership rate of $5! Oh yeah, also when you activate your shiny new membership at the Bike Love event, new members are entered to win an Industry Nine wheel set— I9 wheel sets are local and badass.
Bike Love will feature a silent auction which includes bicycles gear from all areas of cycling and includes a “Build a Bike Drawing.” You, the drawing winner (see what we did there?), can select the perfect bicycle for yourself with your $500 bicycle voucher redeemable with any Western North Carolina Bike Dealers Association shop.
Get your Bike Love tickets in person at any of these fine cycling establishments: Pro Bikes, Youngblood Bicycles,Motion Makers, Ski Country Sports, and Liberty Bikes. Then, make sure you get your membership at the event on February 22. Poster design: Subject Matter Studio.
