Get lost. Find yourself. All in a forest of beer.
New Belgium Brewing will host a soiree on Saturday, Feb. 1, that is sure to end on a sour note. The second annual “Lost in the Woods” sour soiree celebrates New Belgium’s passion for sour beers, highlighting the brewery’s expanded wood cellar and the fourth collaboration with Frank Boon for the latest version of Transatlantique Kriek, a sour cherry beer. Frank Boon, founder of Boon Brewery in Lembeek, Belgium, is a world-renowned sour beer expert.
The party will also feature the premiere of New Belgium’s 2014 version of La Folie, the award-winning sour brown that launched New Belgium’s wood beer program back in 1997. Attendees will enjoy an assortment of New Belgium beers, as well as grooves and vibes from refined funk masters ArisDUHkats.
Tickets can also be purchased for a sour beer symposium hosted by New Belgium’s own sour impresarios, featuring brewmaster Peter Bouckaert and wood beer specialists Lauren Salazar and Eric Salazar. Sour symposium tickets are limited to 50 and will be sold separately from the Lost in the Woods event. See EventBrite for more details.
