Giddy Up

Ale

Available as the Revival beer in Folly Packs in fall 2013, Giddy Up sprang out of a New Belgium coworker's dream of opening a coffee roaster/house in Fort Collins. Born in fall 2008, Giddy Up is an espresso-infused ale with lemon peel.
Visual

An array of inspiring hues emanate: garnet, chestnut, deep copper cowboy kettle, auburn.

Aroma

The first whiff is full of fresh sweet toffee-caramel-mocha coffee. It is a soft, not sharp, presence. Reminiscent of life’s epicurian pleasures: sweet malts.

Flavor

Roasted chilis. Lemon cake/scones/citrus. Coffee cake. Chocolate covered espresso beans. Bitter chocolate. Toffee/heath bar.

Mouthfeel/Body

The mouthfeel is creamy, with medium/full feeling, and light drinking. Giddy Up! finishes bright, light, and frisky. Residual acrid bitterness and astringency from coffee lingers - in a good way. Deceptively different and pleasing. Drinkable, not overpowering. Medium - Full
