Nick's favorite way to spend a day on the river
"Honestly I get this question all the time and my answer is always the same, it's any river with my friends. Its always going to be more fun on any river with your friends, than the best river without them.

I've been paddling for 17 years and I've been fortunate enough to have been on several incredible trips, though one of the most memorable trips would be the First Full Decent of the Rio Alseseca. It was 5 weeks filled with wild adventures, a couple close calls, tons of great waterfalls, many memories and fun stories and great friendships formed."
Eric's favorite way to spend a day on the river
Since the 1980’s Eric has averaged over 30 new river kayaking trips each year on 6 continents. Most of them are class 3-5 whitewater rivers, but he also has discovered many gems that are lazy class 1 and 2 rivers that just as effectively fuel his passion for enjoying the outdoors. Surprisingly, many of Eric’s favorite trips include a combination of wilderness and civilization.
“Sometimes I really enjoy bouncing between the wilderness setting and passing through a town or even a city for some contrast. Given a choice I prefer kayaking in remote areas over the city, but combining the two makes for a great combo. Both the Poudre and the French Broad offer such an experience. Running through completely different types of valleys in a very remote setting and then finding their way into either Fort Collins, CO, or Asheville, NC.
What is special about that, is that you can take out at the New Belgium Brewery at both locations and reward a day of immersion into the outdoors with a brewery tour and some cold Fat Tire. Most of my favorite days on the water end up with a celebratory beer, where the camaraderie and reflection on the day are amplified and the experience immortalized as a great memory."
