Ads vs. Action: Climate

In 2020, New Belgium's flagship Fat Tire became America’s first certified carbon neutral beer, and we committed to making our entire business carbon neutral by 2030. We're proud of this progress – after all, deep investments in climate solutions is a vital part of Human-Powered Business because climate change threatens the future prosperity of our coworkers, communities and customers. Not to mention beer itself!

But we also know that as a medium-sized company, we can only have a medium-sized impact. We need more of the big guys to step up too – after all, the large majority of global carbon emissions can be traced back to just a few dozen of the world's biggest corporations.

Amazingly, almost two-thirds of Fortune 500 companies still don't have meaningful plans to address climate change by 2030 – the year scientists say climate change could be irreversible. We need these companies to use their power to make a positive impact on the planet.

We've created a simple tool that enables you to search for any Fortune 500 and discover whether or not they're walking the talk on climate. You can then use your voice on social media to either thank a leading company for taking action, or urge the laggards to step up.
